Meet Amafojim Dawuda, the 2nd Runner-Up of TALKAM Human Rights Article Competition 2021

Amafojim Dawuda, an insatiably impassioned criminologist in the making, a fresh audacious advocate for women and children. A graduate of kwararafa University with a B.Sc in Criminology and Security Studies (2019) and a Diploma in Psychology from Alison.com(2020). She is an upcoming entrepreneur.
As a Social Researcher and a Criminologist in the making, she has devoted her time and skills in looking for ways to solve the problem of insecurity in the society by serving with a law enforcement agency. She also volunteered to be part of a project #Daretobemore, a project that gives room to educating women about the dangers of breast cancer. She currently volunteered to be part of a team carrying out a project called #Mission Zero Plastic which encourages recycling of plastic products.
Amafojim participated in TALKAM training and also wrote an article titled: "Human Trafficking" because she saw it as an opportunity to "dare to be more", enlighten and remind people about the inhuman business of trafficking and gender-based violence in our contemporary society.
She intends to continue speaking against human trafficking and gender-based violence using her social media platform to raise awareness in all way possible to ensure that the general public is informed that it is unethical to violate the fundamental rights of another. My vision and mission as an Advocate are to stand against human trafficking and gender-based violence and help those who are victims to heal from physical, emotional and psychological wounds inflicted on them.
As one of the participants of TALKAM Human Rights Advocacy Course, she participated in the 2nd edition of TALKAM Human Rights Article Competition and emerged the 2nd runner-up.
